The personal trainers job is to guide you along your journey to better physical health, but if you’re not careful, you might just find your mental health improving too.

 

Personal trainers start by getting an understanding of your current state, and your desired future state. They then create an exercise program specifically tailored to you needs. They’ll explain each exercise, ensure your form is correct to reduce injuries, motivate you and keep you accountable. As you get stronger, they’ll adjust your program accordingly. They can also provide nutrition and technology advice to help optimise and measure results.

 

Sessions can be 1 to 1 or in groups, in a gym or outdoors and include a variety of equipment, or no equipment at all. Trainer personality, qualification and ability vary widely, so it’s important to only engage one with the right education.
